Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Vacations  Vacation Rental Policies & Procedures   Please carefully read the following important information about our vacation rental policies. You may want to print this page for your reference. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call or email us. RENTAL RATES
Our Rates include all SC Taxes, Linen, local phone calls and Departure Cleaning. There are no additional fees. Daily, Weekly and Monthly rentals available.

RESERVATIONS/PAYMENTS
After making your reservation, a Rental Contract will be sent to you. This must be signed & returned within 7 days along with your deposit payment equal to 50% of the rental rate. If your contract & payment are not received within 7 days, the reservation will be cancelled. Credit Cards, personal checks and certified checks are accepted. All monies must be in US funds. Arrangements for the remaining balance must be made 4 weeks prior to your arrival. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require a 50% deposit payment by credit card at time of booking. No personal checks can be accepted within 30 days of arrival. A $25 bank charge will be assessed for all returned checks. Guests will be sent appropriate letters and pertinent information at each step of making payment towards their reservation.
 

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A valid MasterCard or Visa Card is required at time of check in. EWA Rentals shall utilize guest(s) credit card account provided to reimburse for the following:
  • Damage: Cost of repairs.
  • Excessive Cleaning: Cost of extra cleaning
  • Late Check-Outs: $25/hour, after 12:00pm - one night's rent may be charged.
  • Lockouts or Lost Keys: $20.00 charge
  • Maintenance: Please keep in mind that service calls are charged to the owner. Guests will be charged for any unwarranted service calls.
  • Pets: Violations of the Pet Policy is grounds for eviction without refund. Any costs will be incurred by guest.
  • Rearranging Furniture: Cost to move furniture/TV’s, etc to original location.  
Please Do Not Remove any items from the unit or take any items from one unit to another. Your unit should be provided with everything you will need, but if you feel that there is an item you are lacking, please let us know. We are open to suggestions


CANCELLATIONS AND RESERVATION CHANGES
Sometimes cancellations are unavoidable and we will do our best to re-rent your reserved accommodation for the same rate and time period. Cancellations will incur a $50 fee and a $20 fee is applied for reservation changes. 
The following rules apply to cancellations: 
  • A cancellation greater than four weeks in advance: Refund of your deposit less the $50 fee. 
  • A cancellation less than four weeks in advance but greater than one week in advance:
    • If the dates are rented at the same rate - Refund of all monies paid, less the $50 fee.
    • If the dates are rented at a discounted rate – Refund of all monies paid, less the discount amount and $50 fee.
    • If we are unable to re-rent the property, there is no refund.
  • A cancellation one week or less in advance: There is no refund.
No refunds will be given for early check-outs or no shows. 


WEATHER/HURRICANE REFUND POLICY
In case of a mandatory evacuation, and as required by South Carolina State Law, we will refund for the days evacuated.  The refund will be based upon total rental rate minus a  $75-$125 cleaning/linen fee (depending on the size of the unit) divided by the total length of stay.


ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE TIMES
Check In is at 3:00 pm or after on your day of arrival. Pick up keys at our office: 2208 Hwy 17 South, Suite 103. If arriving after office hours, please call for instructions. For after hours arrival, balance must be paid in full, and we must have a valid credit card on file along with your signed rental contract.
Check Out is by 10:00AM on day of departure. There is a $25.00 per hour late check out fee. If property is not vacated by 12:00 pm a full day's rent may be charged.   


PARKING
Campers, trailers, boats, and motorcycles are Not allowed at some locations. Parking is limited to two (2) cars at all condominium locations. We will provide 2 Parking permits if required. They will be included in your welcome package.


UPON ARRIVAL
Please check your unit thoroughly upon arrival. Every effort is made to see that your unit is cleaned and undamaged before your arrival. If this is not the case, please report any discrepancies immediately to our office to insure that the problem is resolved and that you will not be held responsible


WHAT IS PROVIDED
Linens are provided as a courtesy to all renters. Sheets, Pillow Cases and Bath/Kitchen Towels will be supplied for your use in all our vacation rentals Each home/condo is supplied with the appropriate amount according to the capacity of the unit. Linens will be left for you in a Linen Bag in the unit. We also provide a starter supply of paper and soap products including: Paper Towel(1), Toilet Paper(1), Trash Bags(2), Sponge, Dish Soap, Dishwashing Detergent and Windex.

All of our rentals feature standard items, which include the following: Microwave, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Blender, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, glassware, TV’s, VCR’s, Stereos, Alarm Clock, Patio/Balcony Furniture (if applicable), and Gas Grills (House Rentals only). These are furnished as a courtesy and refunds will not be given due to breakdown. However, we promise to make every effort to have such items repaired or replaced as quickly as possible.

All units offer a telephone (with answering machine), which enables the caller to make local calls at no charge. All long distance calls are to be made by credit card/calling card. The telephone number to the property you have rented will be included in your confirmation letter.
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
Beach/Pool Towels and any specialty items such as Beach Chairs, Umbrellas, Buggy Boards, etc. If you require extra bath towels in addition to what we supply, we offer a midweek Towel exchange  at a cost of $20. Please let us know if you will require this exchange prior to your check-in.

 
SOFA SLEEPERS
We do Not recommend sofa sleepers for adult use. For children's use only

 
REFRIGERATORS
Many refrigerators are left open during cleaning. It can take as long as twelve (12) hours before your food will cool and the refrigerator returns to a medium temperature. If you fill it with warm groceries and continually open the refrigerator door, it will take much longer than 12 hours. Please check your refrigerator upon arrival - it should be set at a medium temperature. If the refrigerator is turned to a high setting, the humidity will cause the coils to freeze up, which prevents cool air from reaching the refrigerator compartment while the freezer remains cold. If this should happen, please set the unit to a medium setting and allow time to defrost and stabilize.

 
LOCKED CLOSETS
These contain owner’s personal property. Please respect these locked closets or cabinets. They are Not Included as part of your rental.
 

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES
We do not provide daily or mid-week maid service. A departure cleaning is included in your rental rate.

 
CHECK OUT PROCEDURE
Please make sure the following items are completed prior to leaving the property:
  • Gather all of your personal items. We will not be responsible for any items left in the unit. Items returned will include a $20 fee plus postage.
  • Leave furniture and TV/VCR’s arranged as you found them.
  • Start the last load of dishes in the dishwasher
  • Remove all items from the refrigerator and freezer
  • Remove trash from unit and place in designated area.
  • Close and lock all windows and doors
  • Drop keys off at office when you check-out.  

FURNISHINGS/EQUIPMENT, ETC
All homes and condominiums are privately owned and furnished according to owner’s taste, therefore we cannot make any changes to the furnishings or equipment provided by the owner. We cannot be held responsible for appliance breakdowns or for changes by owners in furnishings or equipment. No refunds will be made for inoperative air conditioners, appliances or for mechanical failure. If any inoperative equipment is noted, please report it to us and we will have repairs made as soon as possible.

 
BUILDING AMENITIES
The maintenance and management of the grounds, and common areas is the responsibility of the complex associations chosen management company. The chosen management company is in full control of the operation of all amenities. EWA Rentals cannot be held responsible for the condition and/or closure of the amenities, however we will keep you informed of the status and/or resolution of any issues that may impact your stay.

 
CONSTRUCTION
Construction of new attractions and accommodations often occurs in resort areas. We cannot make rate adjustments or rebates for inconvenience due to construction, road repair, etc.

 
RESTRICTIONS
Please refer to specific restrictions listed on the individual page of each vacation rental. Restrictions may include the following: Pets, Vehicles, Smoking, Occupancy or Age.
 
Every effort is made to ensure that the information on these pages is accurate and complete; however, we cannot be held responsible for possible typographical errors or changes made by homeowners in furnishings, equipment or bed arrangements.
